Hey there! I am 34 years old, live in South Africa, and I am a qualified and experienced ESL Teacher, and language practitioner. I speak English and Afrikaans fluently, and German at a communicative/conversational level. I am sincerely passionate about learning and practicing foreign languages - specifically Irish, Norwegian, Russian, Scottish Gaelic, Armenian and any Native American language. I can help you with English, Afrikaans and German, if you can help me with any of the aforementioned languages. I look forward to talking to you! :D As for my hobbies, I'm a drummer and love extreme music, especially metal and neofolk. I have a great love for poetry, nature, animals, and all forms of art. Spirituality is important to me, even though I am not at all religious. Discussing and learning about all these subject areas is extremely important to me.

Hi! I’m Italian and looking for some Hongkongers to help me practice Cantonese. Living in Germany means I don’t get many chances to use it. I’m a native Italian speaker, fluent in German and English. Would be great to connect!

Hello, I‘m Jessica, 31 years old and from Germany. My boyfriend and I love to travel. That‘s why I want to improve my English. At the moment I understand a lot, but can‘t find the right words to answer. I have to expand my vocabulary and practise to gain more confidence. Of course I can help with German in return.

Hi there, Currently studying mostly Spanish, basically for fun and cultural exchange. I also speak a little bit of Finnish because I was an exchange student some years ago. My Finnish sure is a bit rusty, but if anyone would like to practice is with me again, I'd be open for that. Just starting with Ukrainian and Russian, so if we do an language exchange with those, you will have to help me with the bare basics :) Concerning English, I would say that I am quite fluent, but always open for some conversation to keep it this way. If English-speaking folks out there wants to practice German, I am sure happy to help there! Always looking for and open to interesting conversations and getting to know other cultures. Feel free to drop me a message!

Hello everyone, I'm a native German speaker and a language freak. I've been working on my English intensively for several years now. Meanwhile, I think, it has improved a lot and I feel quite confident with it. But I'm still a learner, who makes mistakes. The grammar is still bothering me at times, because I learned most things by doing. Although the pronunciation of new words very often succeeds instinctively, that doesn't always work. I'd love to assist others with German in a conversational way to not get worse again, and to hone my language skills. I'm a huge fan of the Irish accents that are spoken more in the west and south of Ireland and around Dublin, but my own English is, I guess, a wild mix of everything from everywhere. I see English as a lingua franca, as kind of my door to the world, to other cultures. I love playing with language and language(s). I also like poetry, but don't know much of poetry in English yet. I do some sport, I love nature and walk my dog in every weather in nature. Besides that, my interests are manifold (I just lack the time to do everything as intensively as I would love to). Anyway, I think, there will always be a topic to talk about. If I didn't scare you off and you wanna give us a go, then hit me up, Antje

Ciao a tutti! I'm Sam. A bookworm, night-owl, and amateur philosopher who believes the best ideas arrive well past midnight. I'm on a mission to finally have a real conversation in Italian and maybe find kindred spirits along the way. In exchange, I can patiently help you with German, Polish or English. Be it dissecting poetry, ranting about your day, or finally understanding grammar that's been haunting you. I'll be happy to hear from you!
