Hi! I’m Polina. Russian is my native language, but I’ve been living in Sweden for ages. I’m looking for a language exchange — I’d love to practice my English and French, and I can help you with Russian or Swedish in return! I’m into all sorts of things: traveling, doodling, cooking up veggie dishes, yoga, gardening, and making up funny stories. Looking forward to chatting. Polina

My name is Brian and am very social and like making friends. I am a stying-at-home-mom cause I have a tiny baby. Swedish is not my mother tongue but I am good at speaking it. I am from Syria so Arabic is my first language. I want to increase my English vocabulary and improving my academic English. I would love to meet an intolerant person who thinks that's ok to meet both me and my baby.

I have moved to Paris, with my boyfriend, hoping to perfect my French. Would be great to get to know new people here who are native French speakers and want to practice their Swedish. I’m interested in traveling (visited 35 countries) and learning about different cultures. Other interests are painting, crocheting, jogging, cinema, colourful clothes, musical theatre and sparkling wine. Ask me about the time I went skydiving or the time I snuck into Disneyland.

Hi, I'm a Swedish journalist of Iraqi descent. I live in Sweden, married, but no children. Trough my work I do a lot of traveling. My main focus is the Middle East, primarily Iraq, but also Syria and Libya. In addition to the Middle East I have also covered the current conflict in Ukraine, so far I have covered around 10 conflicts. I have studied Arabic at the University of Stockholm, and taken classes in Egypt. I do my own interviews in Arabic, but I feel that I need to practice the language on a more regular basis, than I do for the moment. I am doing an exchange in French for the moment, and I can really tell the difference only after six weeks, so I hope that I can find somebody who speaks Arabic, who wants to practice his och her Swedish. I have taught Swedish as a second language in Sweden, and at a university in Colorado. My hobbies and interests: languages, literature, politics, cinematography, , cross country skiing, theatre and of course traveling. So far I have been to 70 countries. Three years ago I found a new passion: sailing. I bought a small sail boat, three, four people can actually live onboard. Last year I sailed from May until the beginning of November. So during the summer I pretty much lives onboard my boat. Looking forward to having an interesting conversation with you in Swedish or in Arabic. Cheers Urban

He looks for :  Danish language exchange
Hi there! I’m Daniel, a Swedish native currently learning Danish. I’ve recently started taking university courses in Danish and am especially focused on improving my pronunciation and sounding more natural in everyday conversations. Since Swedish and Danish share many similarities, it’s sometimes tempting to fall back on Swedish pronunciation – so I’d love to practice with native Danish speakers to fine-tune the differences. In addition to Swedish, I’m fully fluent in English (C2) and have lived and studied in Texas, USA. I also speak upper-intermediate Spanish, having studied it for about 6–7 years. I’m currently preparing for the DELE C1 exam, so if you’re a native Spanish speaker, I’d be thrilled to practice with you too. My interests include economics, languages, sports and travelling. I enjoy reading, listening to political and cultural podcasts, and staying active through training and travel. I’ve had the chance to travel across Europe and North America, and I especially enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. I’ve spent extended periods in places like Germany, the U.S., Croatia, and, of course, across the Nordics. I’m always curious to learn about other cultures and perspectives. In return, I’m more than happy to help you improve your Swedish, and I can support you with English or Spanish as well. Whether you’re just getting started or aiming for fluency, I’m happy to adapt to your level. Looking forward to meaningful conversations and genuine language exchange!

Hi, I am Finnish language enthusiast currently living in Helsinki. I would personally consider my self a self-taught linguist. I am native Swedish and Finnish Speaker (C2), have C1 in English, and B1 in Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. My Vietnamese is quite poor and German is okay A2. I am aiming to pass all the JLPT-tests. I will start from N5. in 2025 I plan to attend HSK3 and maybe HSKK middle level. At some point I would also like to have a grade 3 in TOPIK (Korean language test) I have been to university exchange in South Korea twice (Hallym University, 08-12/2016; Kyung Hee University 08/2020-05/2021) and lately I returned from a 9 month stay attending Chinese classes at National Taiwan Normal University (08/2023-05/2024). I have also travelled to Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam for some 2-3 days each. Studying languages and meeting people in the process is a life style choice I made at the age of 22 (now I am 32). I am happy to help people in learning languages so if that is what you want we could meet and then I see what I can do.

He looks for :  Japanese language exchange
Hello! My name is Edvin, I live in Sweden and I am a student. My mother tongue is Swedish but I am completely fluent in English so I have no issue in helping with either language. I will be going to Japan to study in a few months or so and I want to be able to have basic conversations and understand some basic spoken Japanese. Or at least be better than I am now. So if anyone who is able to speak Japanese would be able to help me with conversation that would be very helpful. I can struggle a little in starting conversations but I will always reply to the best of my abilities.

Hi! I am looking to learn Japanese so that I can speak more naturally to the locals when I visit Japan, and also to be able to watch Japanese movies without subtitles :). My focus is on conversation (I only know kana and a few very basic kanji), so I would prefer to speak over voice chat. My native language is Swedish, but I speak English fluently since that is what I use most day to day. I enjoy stuff like dancing, games (video, board, role-playing), and doodling. I hope we will get along well and help each other grow!
