Description
Who are you?
I’m a university student from Washington State studying International/European Studies, and I’m very motivated to improve my French well beyond the basic level I currently have.
Because I have some natural processing-speed difficulties, I’m looking for patient conversation partners who are willing to speak a bit more slowly and clearly while still helping me progress seriously.
What do you do?
I study International Studies with a focus on Europe, and a big part of my long‑term goal is to use French in academic and professional contexts.
Right now, I’m working to move from very rudimentary French (A1‑type level) toward an upper‑college / standard business level so I can read, write, and speak comfortably in work‑related situations.Your languages? My native language is English (US).
My French is very basic at the moment, but I’m serious about improving and aiming for a solid business level (around B2), so I’m looking for native French speakers who can explain things in English when needed and adjust to a slower pace.
Your hobbies?
I enjoy video games (RPGs, strategy, MMOs), tabletop games, and reading about history, especially European and religious history.
I’m also interested in cooking and planning for a small rural property with animals, and I’d love to talk about these topics in French as I improve, gradually expanding my vocabulary into everyday and professional themes.
