Hi there! I'm Yuki. I'm curious about cultural differences. I'm also fascinated by the ways in which others live, and I'd be happy to interact with them. Of course I’d love for us to help each other with our target languages. I’m eager to make my English sound more natural. English is more than just a language for me. Beyond sentence structures and must-learn phrases, it’s an amazing tool that lets me connect with people and cultures from different backgrounds. I realize that the more I learn, the deeper and more colorful my world becomes. It stimulates my curiosity and I really enjoy it! Hello. I'd like to improve my English. I had the chance to speak English with Latin-Japanese people this month, and I realized that my English isn't as good as it used to be. I want to be in an environment where I can speak English every day. If you're in or near Yokohama, would you be interested in a language exchange in person? Hi, I'm Poppy, I live in Yokohama. I seriously do not want to leave Japan. I am retired, but have been an artist, an engineer, a computer programmer, a photographer, a musician, and probably more. My interests are studying Japanese (obsessively), manga, anime, and the music that goes with them. I speak in flawless, but idiosyncratic, English. I would like to learn with a female native Japanese speaker. My current Japanese level is low (it takes me a long time to form sentences), but I am very motivated. Ideally, I would like to learn with a woman with whom we can become friends. It is easier for me to talk in person than to a computer screen, but we need to start somewhere.

I've been interested in English language and use it in my business to communicate with the engineers working in other countries when I was young. Once I lived in London and went to English language school for foreigners for a year. About 20 years have passed, nowadays I work with people in my country only, haven't been involved in English and I'm probably forgetting a lot of foreign words. I stayed in Rome and Sicily for some months for sightseeing and Prague for a month for business when I was young. Both were also wonderful and beautiful towns. Especially recently, whenever I see or hear Italian on TV or at work, I feel very nostalgic for that time, and I've started to become interested in Italian again.
