Hey there!, I'm Emre . I'm an electrical and electronic engineer. I work as team leader for an international elevator company. I'm here to would like to improve my English speaking skills. I'm super excited about the idea of making friends from all over the world! I think it would be awesome to chat with people from different places and, at the same time, get better at practicing English. I'm also really curious about different cultures, and I reckon that getting to know people is the best way.

Kia ora! I'm a professional migrant! I arrived in Dunedin, New Zealand, about 10 months ago and am working at a university. I have lived in Japan and can speak Japanese. (I did my PhD in Japan.) I'd like to practice my English. My English is broken, and unfortunately, when I attempt to speak, I tend to make very long and technical sentences, as I've learned English primarily by reading (scientific/academic) books. I'm also open to Japanese language exchange as I'm losing my skills. (I'm afraid my Japanese is also broken). I like science, drawing and running. I'm also a self-taught artist who wants to write and illustrate a children's book one day. I'm currently training for the Dunedin marathon, and these days, I encourage myself to read more instead of wasting my time on social media so as not to ruin my already-too-short attention span any more.
