Hi, I’m Rico. Nice to meet you.

I enjoy reading, philosophy, cooking, video games, anime, manga, and learning about different cultures and histories.

I could happily talk for three days and three nights about Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Hunter x Hunter, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. Of course, I also enjoy chatting about everyday life, languages, hobbies, and all sorts of other things.

I love learning about the cultures and histories of other countries, and I also enjoy talking about Japanese culture and history.

I studied English and French in the past, and I have a master’s degree in philosophy, specialising in French philosophy. Because of some health issues, my language skills became quite rusty, so I’d now like to rebuild them from the basics through friendly and relaxed conversations.

Although I’ve never been to the UK, I’m very interested in British culture and would particularly like to learn British English. However, I’d also be happy to learn English more generally, as well as French.

I’m still not very confident in either language, so I’d be delighted to meet people who enjoy friendly conversation and perhaps become friends over time.

My health can sometimes be unpredictable, so my replies may occasionally be slow.

I’d love to chat in English or French, but Japanese is of course welcome too. I’d also be happy to help you practise Japanese.

For safety reasons, I prefer to keep all conversations on this site. I’m looking for language exchange and friendship only, not dating, so please don’t ask me to move our conversation to another messaging app.
