Hi,

I'm Jean-Louis, a "six-seven" as my kids like to state. I'm an IT specialist living in Paris area.

I love helping people learning French. I have been very active supporting French language learners in a dedicated Q&A site for more than a decade but unfortunately, its traffic has dramatically dropped in the recent years because people prefer using AI instead of communicating with real people. I understand AI answers quickly but nothing beats interacting with a real native person.

I love travelling, practicing different languages, especially Spanish and English with real people.

I understand Italian and to a lesser extent Catalan, not to mention Occitan and Corsican.

For now, I'm focusing on improving my written and spoken Spanish.

My hobbies are photography and linguistics.

Soy Jean-Louis, un «six-seven», como les gusta decir a mis hijos. Soy especialista en informática y vivo en la zona de París.

Me encanta ayudar a la gente a aprender francés. Llevo más de una década colaborando muy activamente con estudiantes de francés en un sitio web dedicado a preguntas y respuestas, pero, por desgracia, su tráfico ha caído drásticamente en los últimos años porque la gente prefiere usar la IA en lugar de comunicarse con personas reales.
