Hi! My name is Brooke. I am a teacher in California, USA. I am looking to practice Spanish, speaking being my priority. My level is pretty high, especially certain topics, but I really want to improve. Please only native Spanish speakers! I am only interested in an English-Spanish exchange at this time. I like camping and travel, good food, and learning about other cultures.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA. I'm married with two daughters. I moved to North America as a young child, so I am fluent in English and speak like a native. My heritage is Chinese from Southern China (Hong Kong and Guangdong) and I speak intermediate Cantonese. I studied French in school, but without much real-life practice. I would like to improve both my Cantonese and French. I am learning Putonghua, as well as reading and writing Chinese.
My interests: outdoor activities (hiking, running, non-technical mountaineering), travel, food, cultures and history, and tech.

I am a complete beginner in Ukrainian, but used to speak a tolerable conversational French many years ago, and lived in France for about 6 months. In French I might still be around a B1 level, but am very rusty.
In Ukrainian, I have been doing Duolingo for a while, but still don't have the vocabulary or knowledge to construct even simple everyday sentences, so I'm not capable of much conversation in that language.
My English is native, and although born in New Zealand, I have lived in the UK, Australia, and the USA, and I currently live in the USA. I have a good perspective on the different flavors of English in these countries, and can help you navigate the differences in usage and in pronunciation between them.
I'm probably most comfortable with video chat, but I don't use the popular social media apps. Normal web conferencing tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Skype are, however, fine.

I'm interested in life in other countries.
Also since I live in the USA, I would like to speak with French speakers as well.
I was born in Japan because my parents use to live there but I'm French/Croatian.
I enjoy learning about people's culture. I hate how everything is getting globalized.
