I'm retired and spend a lot of time with family, especially the little grandchildren, when Covid restrictions allow. I'm reasonably fluent in French and was learning Spanish until one of my daughters married an Italian - so now I'm studying Italian! The photo was taken on my first day at a language school in Bologna, where I spent two weeks in 2018, so I'm looking nervous. My level is around Intermediate. My reading is much better than my spoken Italian and I lose vocabulary and fluency if I don't use it for a few months. So I need someone to talk with regularly. I'm a good listener and am interested in literature, music, opera, food, landscape and the history of places. I can pair with someone of any age, as long as our interests and cultural understanding is not too far apart.
