Hi, my name is Joel Bean- I am a jazz musician as well as language learner, from the USA but moving to Poland in August 2024. I am extremely passionate about languages/culture and how it can help us to develop a much wider understanding of every aspect of life and help to build meaningful relationships with other people. With this in mind, my goal is to be able to take in the culture, language, and perspective of others with an open and curious mind, and to also be able to teach and share my own culture, language, and experience through history, music, philosophy, and other disciplines. I want to be able to foster a sense of "cultural counterpoint"; that is, the ability to see the same basic object via several lenses at once, something which can be a direct outcome of the language learning process. If this sounds good to anybody, and you would like to become a friend, please don't hesitate to reach out. My German is at a C1 level, my Russian and Ukrainian are near a B1-B2, and I am just beginning with Polish. I would, in any case, like to refine all of the aforementioned languages to an extremely high level, and in particular be able to arrive in Poland with general conversational fluency. I speak both Spanish and Portuguese at around a B2 level, but am focusing a bit less on those due to work. In regards to methodology/learning practices, I am looking for speakers who are familiar with Steve Kaufmann's/Stephen Krashen's method of exposure/input, and wish to focus much more on natural conversation rather than on grammar/speaking 100% correctly (although that is okay when writing)- I enjoy learning languages via reading/listening, and often use Lingq. A couple of things: please be as detailed as possible, and correct any errors of mine, I am looking to gain a high level of fluency in all of the languages I am working on :) Ich suche übringens jemanden, der mir beim Prüfungsvorbereitung helfen kann- da möchte ich irgendwann Mal nächstes Jahr eine Wochenende in Berlin verbringen, um die Goethe Prüfung zu machen und sie erfolgreich zu bestätigen. Я хочу общаться на русском только с людьми, прощивающие на Западе, например, русско-говорящие люди из Украины или эмигранты в Европе. Из-за войны я не чувствую комфорта в общении с людьми, которые живут в России. Cheers!

Hey I am Nathon from the UK! I study robotics and electronics at ARU Chelmsford. I hope to continue my studies in Japan once I am done with this course. Before then I would like to learn Japanese and maybe visit before studying there! More than happy to chat to help you learn English/pick up the accent. 一位高中学生，母语为汉语普通话，英语日常交流没问题，俄语自学中，但水平较低，西班牙语和粤语是个小白。 Студент средней школы, родной язык китайский мандарин, у меня нет проблем с повседневным общением на английском языке, я изучаю русский язык самостоятельно, но на более низком уровне, я новичок в испанском и кантонском языках. A senior high school student, whose mother tongue is Mandarin Chinese, have no problem with daily English , am learning Russian by myself, but my level is low, and my Spanish and Cantonese are poor. Un estudiante de secundaria cuya lengua materna es chino mandarín, no hay problema con la comunicación diaria en Inglés, ruso estoy aprendiendo yo mismo, pero a un nivel más bajo, soy un principiante en español y cantonés.
