Hey yo, what's up peeps, I'm living and working in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. I teach English. I'm looking for some friends to help me understand Vietnamese. I wanna learn more, but I'm kinda lazy about learning. I like doing interesting things with interesting people. XD
Plus I love going out for coffee, eating at local restaurants, and hanging out with friends at nearby places. So if you're a cool person let's meet up and chillax. ^^
I'm more of a morning guy, so if you have free time during the day (ie. mornings or early afternoon) that suits my schedule. :)
If you live near my area, just say hi. Vietnamese or expats. I'm a Gold Member so I can message you back. 😎
Feel free to ask for my contact info.✌
I grew up in a perfect small country town in Canada. Clean air, easy life, and a good place for my early years. My parents raised me to go to church and I found faith in God at a young age.
In middle school, I moved to a big city in another province. The one with the biggest shopping mall in the world. It was quite a change for me. By the time I was in my senior year of high school, I was living away from my parents.
And when I went to university, I moved to yet another city far away. I was trying to discover myself. To find my purpose. After many years of study, I came to Asia to teach English. I had grown tired of my home country and wanted to see the world. I've lived in Korea and Vietnam, but Vietnam is where I settled down.
Now I live here with my family, and I try and keep busy. It's an extreme challenge every day for me to live in Vietnam, as I don't have the conveniences and luxuries I was used to back in Canada. I try to live like the locals, but I cannot always do that. So in the end, I am on a continuous journey to heaven, I am only visiting this planet. =)
Hi my name is Bahdja and I'm from Algeria. I am interested in discovering other cultures, trying new things, and exploring the world (I've been to Tunisia, USA, and I am now exploring Lebanon). I enjoy adventures and outdoor activities. I am here to practice and improve my French skills. I can help you learn Arabic or English.
Hi everyone, my name is Vanessa. I'm 26 years old and work at a travel agency in Singapore. I've been learning Japanese since December 2016 because I like learning foreign languages. I find Japanese culture and food very interesting. Since I've learned Japanese, I've also been into the Japanese boyband Arashi and watched a lot of their TV programs without subtitles, which helped me in my listening and vocabulary. However, I don't really have anyone to talk to or write to in Japanese, so I'm currently looking for a penpal! My mother tongue is Indonesian, but since I was 15, my first language is English, so I'm fluent in both. I also speak German and have lived in Germany before ;) Write to me~!
I'm Yasmin from Germany and I will move to Korea in late August for the language program at 연세 university.
I've always been really interested in learning (about) new languages and cultures, especially Asian languages since I feel like we don't learn enough about those here in Germany. So after trying Chinese for a while I came to the conclusion that Korean is the better option for me and decided to stick with it.
Additionally, I recently came back after spending 8 months in Canada and I think I can confidentally say that I'm pretty much fluent in English.
So if you need any help with English or German or want to help me, feel free to contact me!
But even if you don't, I'm always down for a nice conversation about pretty much anything^^
반갑습니다. 제 이름은 다연입니다. 한국어를 공부해요!
Hi my name is Jackie! I have never done a language exchange before so this is definitely a new experience for me! I am someone who loves to learn new things. I want to learn Korean, so that one day I hope I can travel there and maybe even stay there! I can speak Cantonese and English. I would have to say that English is my second language; however, I use English much more than Cantonese. I will be more than happy to help you with your English! :)
I can chat with you here or Kakao!
I'm currently trying to learn Korean and Japanese (mostly Korean) and to be honest failing pretty bad lmao
