As a Belgian born and raised, I was exposed to many languages simply by dint of living in a country that has three official languages. I lived in the UK for a few years, where I much improved my English and absorbed the English accent (with a few trips to Scotland for added effect). I am the author of The Last Man Standing, an action/romance sci-fi roman. I very much enjoy running, exploring derelict pathways in the wild, discovering new cultures, meeting new people and philosphy. In any of these subjects I am willing to talk about anything and everything. I am fully fluent in English and Dutch, my French is passable (my grammar is a bit rusty due to disuse). I am looking to learn German (I have a decent vocabulary, but my sentence structure and finer control of the grammatic rule is simply atrocious) and Lithuanian (current knowledge is limited to saying hello and goodbye). I am up for verbal communication through WhatsApp, Signal or Discord, any means of written communication or even meeting up in real life if there is not too much of a distance between us. Everyone has a unique story of their own, especially as to why you are learning a new language, and I look forward to hearing yours. It is also one of the best ways to spontaniously learn a new language, by having an open range of subjects and being spontanuous, and talking about something you are passionate about always is more pleasant!

LT - Sveiki! JP - Konnichiwa! ESP - Saluton! LA - Salve! Hello! My name is Deimante! Nice to meet you. I'm from Lithuania, and no, I am not from England, America, or any other English-speaking country. I just acquired English from watching videos on Youtube from age 2. I love languages, though I am lonely and find it hard to learn alone. My English is B2/C1 or upper intermediate/advanced. I can help with English and Lithuanian and would love to have a chatting buddy with anyone who knows Esperanto, Japanese or Latin. I'm a complete beginner in most languages. I might be slow to respond, but please don't be afraid - I'm quick to make friends!

If you want to have a conversation with me, message me. I might answer only after a long time as I don't visit this website often. English - started learning in childhood by watching Dysney channel shows such as: Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Phineas and Ferb, etc. Japanese - my first encounter with the language was when I around 7 years old. At that time Lithuanian TV broadcasted such anime: Pokemon (Pocket monster), Dragon ball series, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!. Lithuanian TV had Lithuanian overvoice (speaking Lithuanian on top of the original sound track). Russian - my parents often talked in Russian in from of me because I couldn't understand. I studied Russian at from sixth grade (as much as I can remember). Chinese - I got interested in speaking Chinese when I got to meet Chinese people while I was abroad in Finland. German - first time I've studied was with my neighbour, who asked me to quiz her on the vocabulary. P. S. I have native proficiency in English language. Can converse well in Japanese and Russian but not so much in other languages.

To begin with, I have always liked to be among the people, communicate with them, advise and help, organize and hold various activities, trips or competitions. I think it would be very interesting and useful experience to communicate. I would get the different knowledge, meet new people from different countries and cultures.

I love learning languages and about languages. I'm probably interested to learn basics of almost any language there is, so feel free to suggest anything. Although obviously I have no time to learn most of them fluently, with the exception of Spanish and Korean, those two I really want to learn well. I can help you with Lithuanian if you are into exotics, it's one of the oldest languages in the world that's still alive, but it has little to no practical applications seeing how there's about only 3 million speakers worldwide. That is unless you plan to move to Lithuania, it's the official language here. I can also help you with English, I consider my English pretty good for a non native speaker and I do have some experience teaching it in real school. But honestly you'd still be better off with a native English speaker, and those shouldn't be hard to find :) My other hobbies are history, biology, basically anything science, programming, books, writing, films, games.
