Salut! I'm looking for a female native French speaker who wouldn't mind helping me practice conversational French. I am upper-beginner level (approx A2) and I love France and French culture. I work at the University of Bristol in a research support role. I have a Doctorate in English (poetry) and experience teaching English Literature to university students and school pupils. I am a qualified secondary school English teacher although I no longer teach in schools. I would be happy to help English learners of all levels, from the very basics up to philosophical and political discussions, English literature, poetry and reading English literature together. I have a neutral "received pronunciation" accent and would be happy to help with pronunciation and English idioms to make your English more fluent and sophisticated. I live on the coast of Bristol, Maine, in a 1790's farm house. Currently, I work in my home office as a Program Director for a Regional Bank. I have plans to retire in April, 2025, and as my first vacation, travel to Italy. My mother immigrated from Barga, northern Italy and I would love to visit her hometown, where also both my grandparents are buried, hence my desire to learn Italian. I enjoy gardening, fly fishing, and woodworking. I am into Yoga and weightlifting and currently studying to be a Personal Trainer. I enjoy reading history/non-fiction and hanging-out with my Black Lab, Isla.

I am retired and spend most of my time playing tennis & golf. I started learning Italian a few years ago because I love the language and I love Italy. Before the pandemic I spent most of my holidays in Italy, mainly Puglia but have travelled also around Lake Garda and Tuscany. Hello I am a native English speaker living in Britain and want to find a native French speaker to help me practice my French. I have une maison secondaire in France and although I speak some French I need practice both at speaking and at listening, so I can understand better when people are speaking quickly. I'd like to find someone who is in the same situation with their English. I would want to be able to talk regularly over Zoom etc. I'm a radio documentary producer but have many other hobbies - I play the flute and also make things from wood, and have a little business inventing and designing magic tricks.
